The Flexible LED Strips in this section have the LEDs mounted directly on the surface of the flexible LED board. If you have a need for a flexible LED strip which is more directional, you will also want to see the directional or side-view strips on this page.
The flexible LED strips below are: Non Waterproof flexible LED strips in daylight white, warm white, red, blue, green, amber; Non Waterproof flexible LED strips employing color changing RGB LEDs; and Waterproof flexible LED strips in daylight white or warm white.
Non Waterproof Flexible LED Strips
| Flexible LED Strip, is a flexible, very thin, narrow, and very low profile high brightness LED light strip, ideal for interior applications in 5500k white, warm white, red and blue. This item is for indoor use.
Small size and cool light output make the Flexible LED Strip ideal for a wide range of applications, such as cove lighting, back lighting, illumination lighting, guidance lighting, channel letter and other narrow area lighting. The 5500k White is 2-3 times brighter than the B24 model.
There are 60 LEDs per meter. The Flexible LED strips are cuttable every 3 LEDs. Each 3 LED segment measures 51 mm or 2" long. Includes wire leads at one end and pre-attached 3M mounting tape. The non-waterproof flexible strip is sold in sections as small as three feet. See order buttons below for details.

Note: These products require the use of a transformer. Click here for our transformers and dimmers. Take the current consumption in mA shown above to calculate what your total current consumption is. You can then size your dimmer and transformer accurately.
Here's what you do:
- If you are buying a full reel of white or colored non-waterproof ribbon light, take the current consumption for the color you are using for 1 meter and multiply that times 5 to arrive at current consumption for the full reel. Example: 1 full reel of red LED ribbon consumes 480mA per meter, times 5 = 2400mA. Select a transformer with adequate capacity. Note that the current consumption is different for different colors.
- If you are buying 3 feet of white or colored non-waterproof ribbon light, use the current consumption for 1 meter, exactly as stated above. For example, one 3 foot piece of red will consume 480mA, a 6 foot piece will consume 960mA, a 9 foot piece will consume 1440mA and a 12 foot piece will consume 1920mA. Select a transformer with adequate capacity.
- Waterproof ribbon light is available only in white or warm white. The current consumption is 120mA for each 30 cm piece. It is 2000mA for a full reel. Select a transformer with adequate capacity.

The Strip Wire-Connector and the Strip Coupler are installed by sliding open the black clip section. Slip the Flexible LED Strip into the Connector or Coupler and make sure they are all the way in. Then slide the black clip closed.
Avoid unnecessary handling and twisting as the Strip can slip out of the Connector or Coupler. Secure Strips in place with the pre-attached self adhesive tape and that will hold the Connector or Coupler in place. The Strip Wire-Connector is used when you need to to make a 45 or 90 degree turn.

Waterproof Flexible LED Strips
 |
Our waterproof flexible strip is sold by the full reel, or in 30cm lengths. The 30cm lengths have one male and one female connector so you can easily attach them together and maintain the integrity of the waterproofing. At the end of the run, you will need to also order a connector to go from the end of the last strip to your power supply. The connectors are threaded and simply screw together. Both the reels of waterproof flexible strip and the 30cm pieces are available in either daylight white or warm white, no colors. There are 60 LEDs per meter. The Flexible LED strips are cuttable every 3 LEDs. Each 3 LED segment measures 51 mm or 2" long. Cutting waterproof flexible strips obviously destroys the waterproofing. You would need to use silicone if you intend to cut these strips into smaller pieces.

RGB Color Changing RGB Flexible LED Strips
RGB Color Changing Non Waterproof LED Flexible Strips
The RGB Color Changing Flexible strips operate in much the same way as the non waterproof flexible strips above. Couplers are available for joining pieces together. Connectors are available which simply slip on to the end of the flexible strip. Full reels already have the connecting wires attached as shown in the image above. You will need a transformer, and also a color controller. The RGB Color Changing Flexible strips will operate with any of the color controllers we sell here. Select your transformer and color controller by calculating what your total current draw will be for the piece or pieces of RGB flexible strip you will use for your design. You will find more specific instructions below.

Note: This product requires the use of an AC-DC Transformer *and* a color controller.
- If you are buying a full reel of RGB non-waterproof ribbon light, you need a transformer with a capacity of at least 1000mA.
- If you are buying a smaller section of RGB non-waterproof ribbon light, use the current consumption for 1 meter, exactly as stated above and do the math. For example, one 3 foot piece will consume 200mA, a 6 foot piece will consume 400mA, a 9 foot piece will consume 600mA and a 12 foot piece will consume 800mA. Select a transformer with adequate capacity. Click here for the transformer page.
Size your color controller by capacity as well as desired performance. Click here for our color controllers.
- RGB Controller A will handle up to 12 full reels.
- RGB Controller B will handle up to 12 full reels.
- RGB Controller C will handle up to 4 full reels.
- RGB Controller D will handle up to 2 full reels.
